I had one put on my bike last month...don't bother. I got it to scrub speed going down hills mainly the 10K descent into Keene on IMLP course as it is easy to hit 50 and there is wind, bumpy roads and traffic. I doesn't do much I find not worth the money in my opinion.

I have one too. It's ok to scrub a little speed but it won't stop you. Too much of your weight is up front to stop with just the rear wheel.

You could hook it up so that it is your main rear brake and hook up your other rear brake as a back-up.

I would not suggest you do that it could be very dangerous. Aaron have you tried this setup? I could not imagine having one brake in the cow horns and one on the aerobars that is a bad combination. What would you do with the unused lever?  This is a bad idea imho.

I would love to know if you have done this and what your results have been.

Looking at the website I get the feeling that the 3rd brake lever hooks into the cable for the other brake lever down on the base bar. If I am reading correctly, both levers should still work. Also states that it can be used for front brake or rear brake. Front might do better in scrubbing off more speed. Wonder if you could actually put 2 of the 3rd brake levers on your aero bars and control front and rear brakes up by the shifters. You would still be able to have both brake levers in the traditional place down on the base bars too. That would be a pretty cool setup, although I am not sure how practical. Seems as if it would just be more crap to go wrong on race day.
