The June 2nd and June 3rd water alerts first had me concerned. But after it was verified the town/village is responsible for contracting the water testing and that it is done regularly and the water is better than the beahces on Lake Erie and Lake Ontario, we should be good to go.

Biked the route and there is elevation to Newton and then at Thorn back into the park. Nice route - 2 loops.

Run is flat, no surprises with slight hill at beginning.

Bike route is 2 loops. From Green Lake out on South Buffalo Road, to Newton (almost Chesnut Ridge), to South Abbott Road (turn right) and go to 20a (by Danny's South) turn right, then to Thorn Avenue and back into Green Lake at Bank Street.

Update on web site says the Town of OP tests it regularly.

They have the packet pick up dates and times now so it's on.

Looks like the packet pickup at Handlebars in Buffalo is not correct.  It was removed from the web site and I called there and they confirmed that there would NOT be packets there.

Pickup is at Runners Roost in Orcahrd Park on Friday 4-6:30 and Sat 10am - 1pm

Wonder what the water temp is ?

Yes.  I believe there is a mandatory 7:30 am meeting and registration is before that too.  Might want to get there by 7am.  Not sure how much parking there'll be in Yates Park but I'm going to try there and then secondary on Thorn Avenue by Bank (where we enter on the bike route).
