Comments:

I had a great run, saw several friends along the way and was able to chat. I didn't come to race, so I had a relaxed morning. This was my first time to run Moon Pie and it was great!

Event comments:

This race is worth the drive! Great food post-race, I hear the chicken & biscuits is fabulous, but I didn't run fast enough to get that! I did get a biscuit & sausage, a Moon Pie, RC Cola, popsicles, and the usual bananas/oranges/bars. There is a nice craft fair to enjoy post race, so bring some money! I would do this race again, I can see why so many of my friends do this every single year.

Course:	A big loop course, starting in downtown Bell Buckle and proceeding out into the countryside around there. Although there is one big hill at mile 4.5 or so, the rest of the course is very managable. We took that hill as a chance to walk and eat gel. The rest of the course consisted of beautiful views, minimal turns, frequent water stops...and you're back in town at the finish before you know it.
