What would you do differently?: I should have pushed a little harder on mile 4 and 5. Not a PR but still happy with my time. I figured the hill would add about 20 seconds to my PR time and that factered in would have put me right in there with my PR. Post race
Warm down: some light stretching What limited your ability to perform faster: nothing. Event comments: well organized. Only 3 aid stations and the cups they were using were made of a material (PVC I think) that when you grabbed them they split (cracked)and pretty much all of the water spilled out. The race had a lot of runners from several of the local Universites which made for a pretty fast first group. Event winner finished in under :31. Overall a good family race. Got to the race with plenty of time. Ryan, my son, and his cousin, Kurt, and my Brother-in-law went with me to the race. Ryan and Kurt were racing the kids 1/2 mile race but wanted to see me race. Standard breakfast, however probably a little too much for a 10K, felt a little bloated during the race.
ran an easy 1/2 mile WU and did 3-4 short sprints. Left hamstring and both glutes were still really fatigued, but didn't hurt while running.
