Pre-race routine:

Had half a PB sandwich and some water prior to the start, then parked and rode Marta to the start. I was in TG 2, hubby in 1B. Hung around until the start.

Comments:

Run felt pretty good, although I knew I was running too fast (what? ha. yes, too fast for me). I just went with it though and was good til Mile 3, and then slowed for the remainder of the race. Felt decent, but knew my HR was way too high. That was the heat.
What would you do differently?:

Eh - it's the Peachtree. If I get faster in general, I'll be faster out there.
Post race
Warm down:

The walk through tshirt pickup and then to meet family was a long cool down. Walked back up the street to Midtown Tavern to meet some Tri Club peeps. Then headed to our car.

Event comments:

I love the Peachtree, it's an Atlanta tradition. I've always said that I'll run it if I'm in town.

Course: Downhill from Lenox to Peachtree Battle, then uphill and a steady incline until you turn left on 10th Street. Right on Juniper with another climb, short downhill, then one last uphill to the finish.
