Subject: RE: Patriots and EaglesYeah, McNabb is going to have to run to beat the Pats. The way NE plays, they always shut down the opposing teams first option. That means Westbrook on runs, screens, and passes. McNabb ran pretty well last year ( http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/live/NFL_20030914_NE@PHI). Rothlesburger (whatever?? ) did have a couple good runs last week and it looked like the Pats weren't ready for it. They will be ready for McNabb though.
As far as the Eagles shutting down the Falcons running game, yes that's impressive. But, realize ATL has no passing game besides Crumpler. NE does. The Eagles won't be able to stack the line to shut down Dillon like they could against ATL.
The Pats won two super bowls with no running game. This year they have the same QB, essentially the same WRs, and a top 5 RB. I'm not worried. Yes, in one game anything can happen. But it won't
And what is Freddie Mitchell doing giving Harrison and the Pats bulletin-board fodder? He should use those great hands of his to pull his head out of his arse! |
