Pre-race routine:

We were there really early. The buses brought us up. Lots of sitting around. So glad I didn't have to wait for porta potty when I got there.

Comments:

I really like this race. Didn't get too hot this year, just a little hot compared to the weekend I had before.

What would you do differently?:

Start my watch when I crossed the starting line because there were NO MATS for the chips!

Warm down:

Totally sweaty a little pukey wandering through the masses to find water.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Just getting too hot at the end. Not bad though.

Event comments:

I've never seen a race (and I have been racing consistently the past 5 years) where there was only mats at the end. Who does this?

Course:	First mile is UP! 10:34 split, I think. Second mile I think was my fastest mile ever 8:23. I love running downhill. My quads the next day thought differently. One annoying thing: this year they advertised that it would be chip timed. So at the start line I was looking for the mats. No mats. Started my watch late because I was looking for the mats. Mats were at the end. They only timed our FINISH! I feel cheated. I actually ran 58:05. If my tmie had been over an hour (and this is the FIRST time I've broken an hour) I would have beem REALLY MAD! I felt like they weren't honest with us about the chip timing.
