Well here I go again. Time to make a commitment. I made a commitment in December to run a 5k but was too sick to do it. Now I have decided to run a 5 mile run here in Rochester on March 13. I am confident that I will be able to run the full 5 miles. I am doing 4.5 right now. My time won't be great but I have always said running was my weakness and something I need to work on. It is one of the largest road races in the Rochester Area. They had 1300 participants last year. Only 18 days to race day. It is not a tri but I am looking forward to testing myself.

Road runs are great training for tri. with 1300 people around you, you are in a different state of mind. The same is true of a tri. You need to learn to use the extra race energy, but not get carried away. I tend to get carried away, and start way to fast.
I have one run planned, but hope to do more before my first tri of the year. Good luck and have fun.

Running Holds a special Place in my heart! No matter the time or the distance, i give a cheer for any person I see running. Run, because you have the ability. It is such a blessing to be able to run and exercise! Enjoy it.

Do well.
