Subject: RE: Crypto Outbreak My wife came up with quite the astute hypothosis. Since the folks became sick from the Burger's Lake outbreak, many pools have been specifically testing for Crypto. . . Though some of these other pools have tested positive for Crypto, the levels might not be high enough in order to make folks sick. So it might be that various pools would have tested positive for Crypto in the past, and people might not have gotten sick from it. Also some folks might have become sick with Crypto, but a mis-diagnosis might not have pointed to Crypto, but a bad meal the night before. Since a number of people came down with the symptoms at the same time, the epidmiologists were able to make a proper diagnosis, and identify the source. Once the public and media became aware, the testing of other pools began, and evidence of Crypto were found in some of these pools. And, at that point proper diagnosies were made on other people with the symptoms. This hypothosis might be right, or it might be wrong. . . But, its wierd how we're seeing this all of a sudden. . . . |
