Found this interesting research today, perhaps a fondness for green tea is not a bad thing

Cheers!

excellent - I drink iced green tea and had actually always thought I had more productive workouts if I drank a couple of big glasses of it during the afternoon before an evening workout. Last summer, at the height of my training, I would drink a liter of it every afternoon while at work (brew it in the morning when I arrive and ice it down at lunch time). I am not wild about it's flavor so I tossed in a mint tea bag too.

I am also convinced it brought my high blood pressure down a few years ago. good stuff!

go green.

i love tea. we bought an iced tea maker last year and it was wonderful to have around. lots of the REAL stuff w/ no calories, no sugar, etc.

btw, for those concerned about caffeine - green tea has very little. also, if you use the same leaves several times, the less caffeine they have, and more of the anti-oxident properties are released.

www.teasource.com - local place that will ship. AMAZING tea! green tea w/ mango & earl green are two of my favorites.

I'm a big fan of white tea, which I read has more antioxidants than the green variety. A little organix honey and I am set!

I love white tea as well. Stash makes a good green/white tea blend. But for antioxidants, my latest addiction is pomegranate juice! Good but rather expensive. I think I've spent $20 this week alone.

Stash does make an awesome green/white tea combo...my husband drinks tons of it.  I've been drinking the Repbulic of Tea   White tea with melon, or the white tea with honeysuckle and I love the subtle flavors.

I just had my fist pom juice yesterday.  It was great, but expensive.  I'm going to stick to the tea habit.  Those little bags are so portable!

I heard a report on the radio last week that the green tea extract pills actually maybe better for you than the actual tea. Something about the process to make the pills releases more anti-oxidants. I don't know if I believe and will still keep drinking my tea.
