Pre-race routine:

Drove down with buddies and found parking. At the race site for about 5:25pm. Race scheduled to start at 6:40pm

Comments:

Felt ok to start, a little harded on the knees and feet around the light house, but overall I'm happy with the race. Very dark on the second half. Had GI issues going into the second hald, so had to take a 5 mintues bathroom break, which didn't help with the time.
What would you do differently?:

First late evening race, so would probably eat differently before the race. Don't have vegetarian spaghetti for lunch the day of a race, expecially when not used to it.
Post race
Warm down:

A little light stretching, eate a Banana and had some water to drink.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

GI issues and some knee discomfort from the uneven ground by the light house.

Great race, nice venue, well manned.

Course: One lap circuit around the commissioners street area, on to the leslie Street spit to the light house and back, then over through Ashbridges bay to Balmy Beach club and back to the start. The terrain was definitely flat.
