Just curious, anyone do this event last year at it's new venue, Boyne Mountain?

 If so, what was it like? How was the race support and how far is the drive from Dearborn?

Oh and, who's planning on racing there this year? Can I get a roll call please??!!

Wow! I am really surprised that no one has done the race at it's new venue. Very interesting.

I want to do a tri that weekend. I thought about this one but may stay closer to home and do Prarie View which is still 2+ hours away. I will probably decide early next week.

I was just up there for a conference and the venue looks sweet for a tri - Looking at the results from last year it was very poorly attended but not sure why. A RR said you may not see anybody during the majority of the event besides the swim which is a little weird. I tried to pull up the run course but couldnt load it - from the description it is the same run i did and its very challening (i.e. hilly) but I liked it alot. It is a 2:45 drive from GR.

Hmmmm... thanks for the input. I couldn't load the course maps either.

2hrs 45min, definitely a race you'd have to drive to the night before.

BTW, Boyne from Dearborn is 3.5 to 4 hours. Do they have you swimming in Lake Charlevoix?

Swim is in Deer Lake just behind Boyne Mountain - very nice lake
