thanks, got the message.

i have a question though....if i did consider staying overnight, how far is Lutz from where the race is being held?  they say the Marriot in Lutz is the official hotel sponser.   seems i remember Lutz being further down the road than i want to travel.

any decent hotels really close to the race site?

Nah. The hotel is right at the expressway no more than 15 minutes to the east of the race. Brand new hotel.

benc84 - 2008-09-23 7:09 PM I was concerned because Im really good at swimming, Will go by my word and put me in the front?

Swim start goes by age group, not by how fast you think you swim.

Great race, my first ever triathlon, check me out on the stat website   Ben c ,  The staff was really nice and they ran the event perfectly as far as im concerned with the international.  Swim was fine no mosh pit in the water, I was ticked off about the placement of the sun and my swim partially suffered because of it (I swam towards booyes that didnt exist ).  Next year ill be here, no doubt about that!

That's an awesome debut Ben!  Congrats!

I'll agree that it was an excellent venue and very well managed.  I thought I was going to hate the start format but as it turns out I really liked it.  How 'bout that half-marathon from swim finish to T1?  lol

I did the Sprint this year but I'd like to do the Oly next year.  That was a short sprint course.

I'll definitely return next year.
