Subject: Quick Help - Trek Madone 4.5 Compact

Hey again all!

 

I just put a deposit down on a Trek Madone 4.5 Compact and will be picking it up tomorrow... I wasn't going to get a bike for my first tri but after doing 17.1 miles on my mountain bike (with slicks) today I decided I had to... I am making sure I get a bike that I can use and enjoy regardless of my tri future (although I am already addicted and I am only training).

 

I was wondering if anyone had any opinons on this bike before I dive in tomorrow. Here is a link to an overview.

Does it fit?

Did they do a fit to size you? How did they do the fit?

Key to any bike is to have it fit your body. 

New bikes are always fun..I'm getting my newest bike next week..custom cyclecross bike.

Yeah, it fit great.  I rode about 5 different bikes too and it by far was the nicest ride.  For the test ride they only adjusted the seat but they will do a full pro fitting tomorrow (takes almost an hour the guy said...  they do it all).
