Pre-race routine:

Met up with the gang at 6am and traveled down to the race site together. Got to the site at about 6:45 and wandered over to the gathering area.

Some light stretching.

Was out fairly fast and cover the first 15K in 1hr 25, so on pace for a 2hr finish. At about 16, the left IT band started to give a little pain and so I ended up walking in the last 4k pretty well. After the race, the IT band is not feeling too bad, so I think that walking it in was the best course of action.
What would you do differently?:

Camber of the road I think caused the IT band as we were running constantly on the left side of the road and this may have caused imbalance.
Post race
Warm down:

Had some snacks and walked around a bit, then back to the car and drove back home

What limited your ability to perform faster:

IT band issues.

Event comments:

Good race, second year doing it, so will probably do it again next year.
