Run
Comments: ran hard, felt ok, the slight inclines really slowed me I went from 6:11 to 6:34, picked it up lasts 200 yards but not enough to break 20 minutes. The had no 2 mile or 3 mile marks, I looked at my garmin at the 3 mile beep and it said 19:12 so I thought I had it easy, but the finish was farther away than a .1. What would you do differently?: I should have picked it up at the 1/4 mile mark just to make sure I was going to make it under 20. I ran about as good as I could. Post race
Warm down: jogged slowly and joined my wife and daughter for the 1.5 hour parade What limited your ability to perform faster: nothing slight inclines, at the 2.5 mile mark that one slowed me a bit Event comments: This is a great race they have a 15k along with the 5k and give several awards, they went 5 deep in many age groups and gave the top 10 overall an extra prize. You run in front of about 75,000-100,000 fans lining the streets for the parade which is awesome, then there is the blueberry festival just a great event for runners and family.
