I'm trying to clarify the directions to the OWS, since I've never swam here.  If I'm wrong about this, post the correct directions!

It looks like Glade Road IS NOT the exit(someone above posted to exit there).  There is a road named Glade Road inside the park, but, it's not the same as the Glade Road that exits off of I-75.  Click here to see the map I'm looking at.

If we are parking/meeting at the Lodge, here are the directions:
I-75  to exit 285- Red Top Mtn Road
Left on Park Marina Rd
Right on Lodge Rd

Lodge Address:
50 Lodge Rd SE
Cartersville , GA 30121

And as posted above, parking is $3.00 and we will meet on the trail at the end of the parking lot.

Here's who's planning on coming so far:
wmckean
Nat
kenaxford
lcortjens
Zaichikmiller
CourtneyM
Cat- Lisa's friend
atlrunnergirl

LOL. I live there and ride my bike into and out of the park on Glade Road. You feel free to take whatever route you want, but Glade Road does exit the interstate and runs straight to the park. It will save you five to ten minutes, but I encourage you to take whatever route is easiest for you. All the matters is you arrive safely

I've been to the lodge before. Ryan and I took the kids on a hike somewhere around there last fall.

I will have Ryan get me directions. But I did look at a map and saw that Glade rd winds around to the lodge.

Hi, it's Lisa's friend Cat.  I just signed up so I guess I need to go introduce myself too.

I still plan to be there.  I'm slow in the water, so I'm cool if we don't try to stay together, I just prefer someone know I'm there and in the water so if I never come out, someone knows to get the authorities to start dredgingSmile

My husband and I may join you.  I am trying to talk him into this so I can meet some of you but he may just want to go to MAP again because it's closer and therefore cheaper/quicker

Hi!  I regret to say that my husband and I won't be able to make it.  We have a friend who needed an ows parter for saturday.  SOOO we will be doing it then bright and early (7:30) and then heading out for a ride.  Same lodge parking lot if anyone wants to join us!  Have a great time and be safe.  We hope to meet everyone at some other time!

Change in plans.  Since of the 7 gas stations I went by, none had gas, I'm saving what's in the tank to get to work Monday and swimming at the Y.

I am contemplating coming since I havent used my wetsuit since the beginning of the season. Is anyone planning on riding afterwards? I am trying to decide between riding and the OWS

I'm planning on coming - I need to run 7 miles after, but may drive back to the ATL for that since I'm not really a trail girl
