Subject: Interesting tidbit about rest days & weight gainMaybe others already knew this, but I didn't so I thought I'd share.
Reading a book about nutrition for athletes. And it says that for every gram of glycogen your muscles store, they also store 2.6 grams of water.
SO, what that means is that slight weight gain on a rest day or taper week is inevitable. I know I get frustrated when the scale goes up after a rest day, so at least knowing that it's water will help with that frustration. |
