Subject: Northern Virginia Triathlon Team
I am contemplating starting a USAT triathlon team for the Leesburg or Loudoun County area. I wanted to see what kind of interest there might be. I spoke with Brian Crow from Tri Performance for coaching. Members would not be required to pay for coaching but we would get his group rate. I will be paying the $25 annual fee to get it started.

I am mainly looking to create the group to schedule some group training, group discounts, and other group social events.

My wife and I have participated in 3 events this year and have had a blast at each one meeting new people with this common interest.

Sorry what I meant to ask was would you be interested in using the coaching option that will be provided(potentially) by Brian Crow of Tri Performance LLC.

His normal rate is $125 a month but for teams he coaches for $85 a month. Coaching is not manadatory for the team but an option. My wife and I are going to use Brian as a coach. If you are interested you can find his Bio at the following link.

Oh... sorry.    Clearly I misunderstood your question!   I have friends that train with Brian now.  I'm not sure I can afford it at this point, truthfully.   But would love to be part of a group to ride and run with.

That is absolutely fine. I am just trying to get an idea of who will be interested in the coaching. The main point for me to establish a team is to promote the tri community in the area. It seems that there are alot of triathletes in the area but we don't know any of them. Truth be told out side of our church we don't know many people since we are fairly new to the area.

Feel free to pass the word on to any others whom might be intersted.

I created a yahoo group to announce group rides a few weeks back. If you would like to get on the mailing list check it out on Yahoo groups. The name is TeamBucketList.

I'm interested in being a member of the group but don't currently have interest in the training by Brian (although I may in the future if the economy starts to look better! ). I live in Sterling.

My wife and I have deciede to join the group that is allready established in Broadlands. Team TPR. You can join without the coaching for $50 a year.

I just decided that I don't have time right now to start a new team. Also they allready have an established team with good group events.

I have done several sprints over the years, but the older I get the less I can "wing it" so I am looking to train more formally.  I live in Leesburg and swim at Ida Lee.
