Subject: my berry special smoothie I can get all of my fruit requirements for one day in one serving for breakfast. Here's what I do:
1 banana (cut in thirds )
5 strawberries (cut off tops and slice them a couple of times )
some blueberries
chunks of mango
1 cup vanilla soy milk
1/2 container of light dannon yogurt (any flavor you like, kiwi and straw/banana are great )
Then put in a blender and blend until it is all creamy! MMM MMM Good!
BUT-Here is the secret...
Go to the produce isle and pick out the fruits you like and then freeze individual portions together! This makes it act like ice since the fruit is frozen and you also don't ever have fruit that goes bad. Then take that fruit, put in a zip loc baggy and put in the freezer. As soon as I buy my fruit, I prepare the amount I am going to use and put it in individual baggies. That way, you can just take out a baggy with the fruit already prepared and blend it with your other ingredients!
I think this smoothie is way better than a smoothie you buy at a store! |
