Comments: I told myself to take it easy as this race was just the first part of my long run of the day. I ran through the first two miles and was really in the zone and then I switched to my 8-2 walk run intervals. Everything worked out great. I hit a wall around mile 8.3 but I pushed through and made it to the finish line feeling good. What would you do differently?: I should have brought a Gu with me. I think that my wall was due to a lack of nutrition. Post race
Warm down: I walked around for a bit, checked the results, and met up with my friends Brandon and Aaron. I stretched out during the awards ceremonies. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of nutrition I guess. Last updated: 2008-09-02 12:00 AM

I woke up at 6:15, milled around a bit, and then got dressed and made two slices of toast with peanut butter to eat on the road. I left my apt at 7am and arrived at the race site around 7:30. Packet pick-up was a huge cf and it took about 10 min to get my timing chip and race number.
I jogged around for a quick minute and then zoned in on stretching out. We had about a .25 walk from the packet pickup area to the actual start line.
