Parker Recreation is putting on a kids triathlon this Saturday, October 4th.  This is a non-competitive triathlon for kids 6 - 12 years old.  Cost is only $10.00!  Go to the web address below for more information.

sorry, I don't have any information other than what is on the website.  Pretty sure it will be outdoors...hope so!  My daughter is doing it as well.

Go to the Parker Recreation Homepage

click On-line Registration

then advance class search

enter "Kids Try"  try is with a Y not I

then view class.

It is kind of messed up...not sure how my wife ever found it.

some details from the organizer:

The transition area will be right outside the pool in the grassy area near the side parking lot and inline rinks.  It's a fairly large area; we will have the kids setup their bikes before the start of the race.  Parents will be allowed to assist their child as well.  From there they will ride/run on the Cherry Creek trail.  The cyclist will go to the left, loop around, come back to the transition area and start their run.  They will run on the right hand portion of the trail SO riders and runners will be separated.  The finish line will be near the transition area.

I am SO excited! One of my twins completed the race and had the biggest gap toothed smile at the start of the run! She finished strong then barfed in true family style! What would a race be without barfing on the Parker Rec Center lawn??
