Comments: I wanted to go out slow and make sure I didn't get caught up in the adrenaline of starting the race. My first two miles were a little too slow, but I got going in mile 3. One hiccup in mile 6, but I got back on track. By the time I hit mile ten, I was gassed. Legs felt heavy and started to get sore. I was really hurting once I got into that last mile. What would you do differently?: Obviously I need some more stamina to finish stronger. Post race
Warm down: Stretched, had banana and water, hung out with Le and LoLo and waited for the rest of the group to come in. What limited your ability to perform faster: Needed a few more long runs to get the stamina up. Event comments: They nailed it on the first race. Looking forward to next year. Had PB toast and glass of milk. 1/2 a clif bar right before race. Hung out with the group and got some pictures taken.
