We have both a BOB (Ironman) and a Chariot (Cougar 1). I run a lot with the little one, I use the Chariot. The longer wheel base and bigger wheels in the back make it a lot easier to run with.

I also use it a trailer and have done many rides with it. Heck, tomorrow I'm doing my 31 mile bike commute pulling it with 4 days worth of clothes and stuff for work!

My husband and I are both expecting a little one, and we went out yesterday to look at jogging strollers.  At first I wanted a Phil & Teds but they didn't recommend running with it even though they said people do.  The stroller is very expensive $670 for the Vibe and $419 (not as bad) for the Sport.  One thing that they did mention is that the stollers were good for the beach, which we plan on going to a lot.  Do the BOB running stollers work well on sand, I saw the BOB Sport Utility but it seems more for off roads than anything?  Any suggestions?

All the strollers I've seen at the beach are terrible in the sand - singles and doubles. Our double baby jogger is terrible in the sand, slightly less terrible pulling it behind us instead of pushing ahead of us - we park it under the boardwalk and hoof it to the water.

I run with my single and double Bobs on the beach.  We also use the double Bob as our packhorse when just hanging out at the beach.  Obviously nothing is going to work in the deep sand but i've had no problems with the Bob on the beach, or store, or street, or park, or mall...

Most popular up here are the Chariots - http://www.chariotcarriers.com/english/html/index.php

Even x-country ski conversions, etc.

I like these... I wish I could see one in person!
