While at Starbucks yesterday I noticed on the munu that you can add whey to any drink for an additional .50.  I don't know if this is new but this is the first time I saw it because I dont go there allot. I was aware from the news that they are trying to take a more healthy approach with snacks. This is a convient way to get a protien fix on the go. Just thought I would pass it on.

Excellent ! not to mention a great idea for me to do at home... I never thought of throwing a protein scoop into my coffee.... and heck.. with the vanilla mode, I can skip the creamer too! wheeeeeee! for whey! I'll look to see if they offer it in NC now

thanks!!!

Becareful...I tried adding a bit of protein powder to my coffee and it made it taste weird. Same thing with oatmeal. I don't know if it's the heat throws it off or what. I use the Body Fortress from Walmart.

Heating whey protein to relatively high temperatures, like coffee, can denature immune proteins, specifically lactoferrin and lactalbumin. They are more or less worthless when denatured. So, remember that heat can play a detrimental role on whey protein.

If I'm not mistaken denaturing protein just brings it one step closer to complete digestion, putting it in your coffee shouldn't be an issue.
