Pre-race routine:

Get there at 6:00 AM, set up, go for a 1 1/2-mile run, take the bike for a spin and check gears.

I got stuck behind two guys halfway through, one of which was trying to pass the other, so I probably didn't get the time I wanted.
What would you do differently?:

I would slap the guys' feet like crazy to let them know I'm trying to pass them!
Transition 1

I did fairly well getting out of transition.

The roads were wet in some areas, especially on the turns. I really moved very fast overall. The only wind was a small headwind coming back towards transition.
Transition 2

I totally forgot to get my feet out of the shoes because I was very disoriented when I came back to the NOMAD Aquatic Center (not knowing the area at all). In fact, it never even crossed my mind until I was turning into the transition area, so I ended up running to my rack with my shoes still on!!
What would you do differently?:

Get out of my shoes!

I felt good (though I don't think I ran as hard as I could). The one really bad part was coming out of transition where there was a lot of mud from the rain last night. I nearly killed myself on a mat that was placed on a raised piece of ground with a slight decline to the left, where the mud was thick. They really couldn't do anything about that anyway so I don't blame them.
What would you do differently?:

Run faster. Try to be more careful if there is mud next time!!
