Comments:

This was my fastest time for a 5k, ever. Jason pushed me the whole way. I knew he could run. I was faster than last year, yet placed farther back. This is a tough AG.

What would you do differently?:

train for speed work during the rest of the season. I bet I can go under 7s for this distance.

Post race

Warm down:

walked the course in reverse to find the kids.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

my lungs.

Event comments:

This really a fun-run, but many people (including me) take it seriously and shoot for speed. I've got a lot of sprint work to do if I ever want to catch the leaders in my AG.
The post party is a blast - good food, good beer and a festival atmosphere.
