Run
Comments: This was my first 5K so I tried to go out like I had in training and not push it too fast. Robert stayed with me till the 10K seperated from the 5K which was nice. He really pushed me to increase my pace, and was really supportive. I pushed it a little harder than I usually do, but still felt well within my capabilities. What would you do differently?: Nothing...just need to keep at it...Speed will come. Post race
Warm down: Walked around with Jen and Nick and waited for Robert to finish the 10K. Met ChiLakeShore (Lauren) at the finish. What limited your ability to perform faster: I am just new to running, and I need to keep at it Event comments: Nice race for my first one. I thought the water station on the 5K came too early, maybe at 1.2-1.4 miles, but I wasn't planning on drinking during the race so it did not effect me. Last updated: 2008-10-16 12:00 AM

Up at 7am. I usually don't eat anything before running but had some water and Black Cherry Shot Blocks this morning. Drove to the race site and parked.
walked around a little, stretched a little huddled with Robert trying to stay warm. I wore my UA tights, long sleeved tech shirt, headband and gloves. It was really windy this morning but the temp was good once you got moving.
