Subject: RE: Question about Body Weight in LogsI've pondered this a lot through the years. Pullups and dips actually do use your whole bodyweight as that is what your muscles are actually seeing. Pushups and core exercises the weight will be significantly less due to the angles involved. There is no easy way figure out what the actual weight you are doing in a pushup...unless you use some math and trig (I think)...but most references for normal pushups are 60% of your body weight you are actually pushing. For the core exercises, those will be very difficult to figure out. I would just use bodyweight...just know that when you graph strength exercises... |
