I have always been a polar fan, but with the deals out there on the Garmin 305 I am trying to decide what people prefer.

I am upgrading from a Garmin 401/Polar protrainer XT/Cateye astral/Nike + iPod combo to the Garmin 305 w/cadence and bike mount and I can't wait. FWIW, I never managed to get the bike mount of the polar protrainer onto my bike, so can't compare apples to apples here.

Now if they could get my iTunes, cell phone, palm pilot, and garage door opener in there I would be all set.

I can't give you any technical advice but I think less is more, and I can't wait to have less to wear/deal with.
