Who is racing where this year ?

I did Blenheim last year. Good race but bike was tough.

Staying local this year. Fritton OLY (nr GT Yarmouth), Norwich Sprint, Waveney 1 & 2, Norwich 1/2 Marathon. May do Great North Run.

I am training for Monaco Ironman 70.3. All is going very well, got the flight hotel and car. It is only the swim bike and run that is keeping me awake at night.

Am only a beginner here, doing the Men's Fitness Rough Track Triathlon in 5 weeks, and am starting to get a little nervous

my first tri is Duston sprint (18/4) and the  the london tri sprint (7/8)

then train for next year

Signed up for the winchester sprint in apri and bournemouth olympic in july, plus a half marathon this month and 10k next month, nothing like in the deepend !l

Ah i'm entering Fritton Super Sprint to start my season off. I'm in cambridge though so prettty local here too.
probably going to enter tatton park (near manchester )

First timer here! So signed up for the mere 2 Sprints in september! Gives me lots of time to train, and still got 2 x 10k runs in manchester this summer to get out the way first!

05/09 - Nantwich Triathlon (500m/20km/5km)
12/09 - Derby Triathlon (400m/18km/5km)

Both are pool based. Nantwich will be on my own, and Derby with a group of mates. Hoping i catch the bug! Because i'd love to say i've done an open water olympic! And who knows where it'll go from there!

based in London and signed for my first ever tri which will be the london tri oly distance. i generally also do the clapham 10k series since it's on my doorstep. am getting fitter so may branch out a little from the current schedule

i did the duston (sprint) tri in 1.25.53 felt really good for my first tri

I did the Sevenoaks sprint (400/25/8) in 1:47:23 which was 2 mins faster than last year.
I highly recommend this race if you are in the south of England. They do another race in September but it will book up in 2-3 days it is so popular.
I am all gearing up towards the Vitruvian in Sept now.

First time here, first triathlon, first just about everything...
I've entered the 'Tri for Life' on Sep 5 at Dorney (Windsor). The event wasn't listed on this site, so I put a listing in. I'm doing the 'short course' (= Sprint?) and have given myself 20 weeks to get into shape and hopefully get a good novice time.
Anyone else doing this event?

cant do that this year I am doing the Vitruvian the day before.
I have raced at Dorney though it is a great venue for a first triathlon as it is pancake flat and the lake is nice and clear and shallow if you are at all nervous about the swim. The only bad thing about it is it tends to be windy so practice riding your bike on the drops or tucked down on your aerobars as it makes a huge difference. 20 weeks will be plenty of time to get trained up for it and I recommend you have a practice swimming in open water a couple of times before race day. It is very different from doing laps of the pool
