Right wheer I expected the numbers to be. Although my resting heart rate is somewhat higher than I would want it to be. Very nice data! Thanks so much! Veronica predicted that swimming would raise a person's heart rate the most due to the whole body being engaged. Its looking like that is not the case. She doesn't get a bad mark for predicting wrong.
I suspect that she's going to find that it's not the amount of muscles used in a sport, but the impact on them. High impact sports like running (at least in me) have always raised my heartrate higher than biking (with a mechanical advantage) and swimming (basically zero impact). It'll be interesting to see what her results with everyone show. |
