Subject: Flying to England for IMUK 70.3 ...
I have signed up for Ironman UK 70.3, taking place at Exmoor National Park. I am flying in from New York for this event, and ideally would like to spend some time enjoying myself other than racing (I’ve spent a decent amount of time in Oxford a few years back). My question comes down to logistics – if I decide to fly into LHR and spend some time in London, what is the best way for me to get from London to Exmoor?

Getting to Exmoor is not hard unless you have a bicycle with you.  I'd contact one of the million or so bike shops in Bristol and ask:
1. Can you ship the bike there?

2. How to get the bike from Bristol out to the park?

3. If there is a company that will do that for you then how do you personally get out there from Bristol (bus, taxi, what other options are there)?

Once you have the bike figured out, getting from London (probably Paddington station) to Bristol is just catching a (2+ hour) train.
