Pre-race routine:

Usual 1/2 PB sandwich and banana. Picked up my number and packet on Saturday so I didn't feel the need to rush so much.

Event warmup:

Brief jog around the parking lot.

Comments:

Felt good considering I ran 10 yesterday. Got to the one mile mark and the clock said 8:18. That is really fast for me. I slowed a little on mile 2. When I had about 200 yards left, two Donkeys - Travis and Clint- paced me in so I started to sprint. When I saw the finish clock I realized that I was going to PR. What a great feeling!

What would you do differently?:

Not much.

Warm down:

Walked around the MultiSport Expo for 2 hours.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Nothing except 30 pounds.

Event comments:

Hopefully this Expo and race become annual events. This was year one and everything looked like it was running smoothly.
