Subject: Turn a 16 week training program into a 12 week one? Okay, so I really meant to get started training last month, but I just moved halfway across the country and am finally settled in. I am prepping for a May 10 sprint distance (it will be my second) and am comfortable with all the distances in the balanced 16 week sprint training program (on this site) , but I'm just wondering the best way to modify it since I've only got 12 weeks to go. When I trained for the first one in the fall I just used a simple 12 week program (similar to the 13 week on this site) and I'm looking for something just a bit more aggressive (since I'm already comfortable with the distances).
I have been working out in the off season, so do I just start with Month 2 or is there a better way like doing weeks 1,3,5,7-15? Thanks- Elaine
