Comments: I was not prepared for the run past 9 miles. I did not bring gue (shot)with me to give the boost I needed. What would you do differently?: have the proper nutrition - for the last quarter of the race. Again, I toughed it out for the last 4 miles with no energy left... I had salt crystals forming on my face... Train on more hills instead of running around the lake.. Post race
Warm down: Warm Down - sit on butt.. Changed and went to go eat something. What limited your ability to perform faster: nutrition & hydration Event comments: This was the first time I have run over 9 miles in my life. I had just recently ran the 9miles but figured I needed to see if I could do it. I did and am happy about that for sure but saw alot of ways to improve myself. I am going to sign up for another one. Took it easy last night..
Okay.. Did not eat enough complex carbs the night before a race.
No Warm Up
Bathroom - 4 times / last time was on the course (port-o-johns)...
I needed to go since the gun went off but the line was too long...
