Comments: I started very easy, with 3hrs pacers. I went up to the half at very light intensity Zone 2 max in 1h29. Then I intentionally increased the pace getting 2 or 3 secs /km faster every 5km. I finished at 4'00/km in the last 2 km which should be the pace for Rome marathon in 3 weeks. I finished in a great condition with the second half in 1h27, overpassing many zombies in the last 10km What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: Under the rain, drunk some iso and warm thea plus ome biscuits. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing Event comments: Not the best place to run a marathon but a great organization with lot of volunteers and drink stations. Last updated: 2009-03-02 12:00 AM

Race start at 9.30am. Went for breakfast at 7am in the hotel. Orange juice (1 glass), thea with honey, coffee black, two slices of white bread with some jelly and a banana.
I got some BCAA at 8am and a gel pack at 8.30am
very short 5mins warmup session because it was intended not as a real race but as my last long run before Rome marathon of 22nd of March
