Run
Comments: Had no expectations going in to the race. Was using this as a training run for Mississauge full in May, so just wanted to see how the distance felt. I had forgotten my watch and Garmin, so had no real means of telling the pace or timing of the race, which may have been a good thing. Started off at a nice pace and kept that pace for the first half of the race. Walked the 10 seconds at each aid station (every 3kms or so), and ran the rest of the race. Around 16k I felt I was picking up the pace and ran to the end in what felt like a good pace (5:45ish). Was surprised that I finished in 2Hr 5minutes for a training race. Felt great and strong by the end. What would you do differently?: If I had a watch or Garmin, I would have had a better idea of the pace, but I'm not sure if that would have caused me to run harder earlier and then burn out. Post race
Warm down: Had some food and then drove back home What limited your ability to perform faster: Maybe the lack of a watch. Event comments: Good race, I'm pretty sure I will do this one again. This is third time of doing this race and the best time so far. Other times have been 2h 20 and 2hr 29 Last updated: 2009-03-03 12:00 AM

Up early and had oatmeal breakfast then met up with two friends and drove down to Burlington. Got to Burlington by 8:30 and parked and then went over to Second Cup for coffee and to keep warm until 9:45.
Walked over to the start line.
