how do you attach your race number to you for a run race? It says don't use pins. So how do you attach it? Do you just slap it on? Iron it? What? Please help!

Ovetta,

There are places where you can by a race number belt that you can attach your number to. If you have a shop in your area that caters to triathletes or runners they should have it there. If not you can get one online.

They have the race belts here >>> http://www.desotosport.com/ for $7 US, but then also $7 shipping, so it makes sense if you have something else to order as well.

Thanks. That won't help me for tomorrow but I'll keep it for future reference.

I have a race belt now, but pinned it on my shirt the first times. They did provide the pins so I don't know what the deal is about not using them in your race....

Normally they don't want you to use pins on the bottom part of the race number that gets torn off...they take this at the finish line (assuming a timing chip isn't used)

Use the pins to attach the main part of the race number leaving the bottom free.

A tip: crumple up the race number into a tight ball, then form it flat again. it is wrinkly looking but then will not flap up on the race course.

Thanks guys for the advice. I used safety pins. You were right it said don't use pins on the bottom part not the top. In fact it's still pinned to my shirt as we speak. I'm going to frame it! Woo Hoo!
