After years of good service my specialized pump doesn't work right anymore (can't get past 80 psi).

Does anyone have a recommendation on a good pump? Not looking for fancy features or anything just a pressure gauge and durability. I think $30-40 should do the trick (right?)

Links appreciated

I've had the Topeak JoeBlow Sport pump for a few years and haven't had any problems with it.  I think I got it for about $30 on sale at Performance (it's $35 right now there)

Thank you sir, I may grab that one. I may also just get the same specialized one since it performed well over the years...hmmm.

I purchased my first and only floor pump last year.  It is a Serfas brand with pressure gauge and dual valve pump head.  I've not had any problems nor developed a desire to replace it although my only metric is "fills tires with air" and I have no basis for comparison.  The gauge is mounted low so if visibility bothers you, you may want to find another model.

I had a similar problem with a Blackwell pump that had bought.  PSI wouldn't go over 60.  I called them and the sent me an extra head-(not sure that the right word) free of charge.  Pump works like new again.

I really like the Serfas FP-200SE floor pump I picked late last year. It has the gauge at the top of the shaft for easy reading. The head works with presta and schrader valves automatically. Price was reasonable and in your range.

The Joe Blow is a really nice pump.

Totally rebuildable too if you have any problems. One of the reasons why I have one and bought one for a friend!

x2

My wife bought me the JoeBlow Pro Floor pump for Father's Day several years ago. It's extravagantly priced at $70 and I thought it overkill, but man is it a pleasure to use. No fuss, no muss, no problems filling any tire I've ever had to fill. Works automagically with Presta valves on the road & tri bikes and Schrader valves on the mountain bike. Never broke a valve stem with it. Pumps smoothly and evenly every single pump. I've even topped off my car tires (low profile, not thatmuch air) with it rather than pay 75 cents to use the gas station pump.

Just yesterday I filled up four road tires and actually said out loud "I love this pump!" as I finished using it.

I do leave it at home and have a older $20 cheapie that keep in the truck to use when needed. It works, but it's like going from a Mercedes to an old Ford.
