Today in the pool I completed my first 1/4 mile swim non stop. It took me about 13mins 30 secs. Thats not going to set the world on fire. But its something I couldn't even dream of doing 2 months ago. I'm feeling pretty darned pleased with myself.

I get that same kind of feeling when I go on my long trail runs. I get ten miles away from home and I'm running around the reservoir and I think of how crazy it is that this is just a normal long run for me. I remember being a kid and thinking that was a really long way to go on a bike. It's amazing how things change and how far you can progress.

That's great, Ian--and don't sneeze at that time. Who needs to set the world on fire? Is it or is it not faster than two months ago? It's fabulous, and will only get better!!
