Pre-race routine:

Wake up 6:30, bowl of cereal and a shower, then out the door. Avoided looking out the window as much as possible. Long sleeves and shorts.
Event warmup:

Parked half way down the east side of Potomac park and jogged to check in. Checked in and stood around watching 5k start.

Comments:

Started with an easy pace, picked it up on second lap. Just like an easy training run, not much effort.
What would you do differently?:

Could have pushed harder on second lap, and maybe a bit more on the first 5k.

Warm down:

Walked back to check in, grabbed a banana and water. walked back to car.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Confidence in my pace.

Event comments:

Race was well organized for the cost. It was cold and wet with a little wind on the front side. Good Job PVTC
