Comments: We made great time for the first few Km. I think Mom was pretty much making 10 min running with a min. break in between till 4 km when her knee began to hurt. I think she could have made it in 1:10 if she'd not needed to stop running. After that we just joined the thousands of others walking the event and enjoyed the bands and scenery. What would you do differently?: Hang out longer in the Hyatt where it was nice n' warm.  Post race
Warm down: Grabbing snacks in the stadium. What limited your ability to perform faster: Fast wasn't really the goal here, accompanying my Mom on her very first event was, so we were just there to have fun and enjoy ourselves. We had to go a bit early as my Mom had to have her timing chip checked at the Hyatt before 8:30. She ended up needing a new chip and we were all set.
Dancing along with 55,000 of our closest friends way back in the purple section TILL 10:00. Wow, was I tired of standing around.
