Subject: My Min Run Challenge

Hi All,

as well as being part of the girls vs boys challenge I am setting myself a minimum run challenge, to get back into the habbit of training 6 days a week I am going to make sure I run at least my minimum run every day with the exception of Sundays through May.

My minimum run will be 3 miles, if I do any other training over 30 minutes in length I don't have to run the 3 miles, if I fail to train in any other aspect for 30 minutes or more I must do a 3 mile run.

Feel free to join in, set your own minimum distance or time, doesn't matter, but the idea is to get used to getting out the door regularly.  even choose your event, a min cycle or min swim works just as well, I like running so it will be easier to get myself out to run.  the idea is to enjoy and train 6 times a week.

so the challenge is there come and try it on.

Dean

Sounds good. Its coming into winter in Australia so I'm off season for tri training, but I have a half mary in about 10 weeks. I will post back with my goals. Will you be doing spreadsheet/teams or anything?

AT least: 20 min of exercise 6days/wk or a 30 min run (in addition to the workout I may have chinced out on).

Hey cool, at least some takers, I wasn't going to set up a spreadsheet I was going to use the training log to track, like the peach challenge but with a set min value to hit.

I just landed in DC today and managed to get out for a nice arrival run in the DC rain!!!  I know it's a Sunday run, but I couldn't resist.  :-)

Hope you guys have managed to get out this last few days, I have hit training each day, so pretty pleased.

Ok my minimum will be 2 sessions daily. I have a few activities that I do - core, stretching, strength, running and refereeing/ref training. One of my bad training habits is not being consistent. I get to the end of the week and still have a heap of sessions still to do. Hopefully this will help me to spread it out and do something every day.

I try to do a decent swim and ride, I did have run in there too but my knee was hurting so I may have to go back on it a bit but at least an hour ride and an hour swim once a week each plus 4 sessions of TKD each week and it was a 5k run every week but maybe 3k until I lose a bit more weight.
