Comments:

The run was great, the only problem was the March of Dimes Walk was going on at the same time in the same area, so there was a lot of dodging around people. I went out with a 7:30 pace and was able to hold until the end of 5K where I finished with a 23:30. After that my footpod stopped working so I'm unsure of my paces. I didn't push it as hard as I could have in the middle of the race. But I'm happy with the overall results and the fact that I got hardware!!
What would you do differently?:

Train for a 10K. I've been doing speed work for Mayfair 5K, which is 2 weeks away. I didn't really plan for this race. But am happy I did it.
Post race
Warm down:

Eat drink and be merry.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I didn't push my self in the middle. I did in the beginning and end.

Event comments:

Fun challenging race I would recommend to anyone in the area.

Nice job! I really enjoyed the race as well. The weather was perfect and I thought for a small local race it was well organized. The hill at Success was a beast at the 5 mile mark!  I was the same as you as far a going out fast, not really pushing it too hard in the middle and then finishing strong. Great job and good luck at Mayfair!
