Yep, I turned my ankle (not badly thankfully) this weekend on a stupid crack in the driveway where I'd just ended my bike ride.  I need no assistance here.  Snow isn't bad if I've got my Yak Trax on.

I have 4 serious sprains and 1 broken ankle from anything that is not flat. A small rock...bam! On the ground.

I am a regular at Physical Therapy. Got a couple nasty ones in high school soccer and they've never been the same since. I'll be having another ankle surgery at some point in my life I'm sure.

Grooved pavement. When they groove the street before they re-surface it. Feels like a foot massage when you go from regular pavement and onto the grooved.
