Pre-race routine:

Met up with my brother at 6:00. Just hung out and enjoyed the sunny day.

Just stood around. Didn't run or anything.

Had fun! Was proud of my brother who ran a 6:05. Just to think he used to run Race for the Cure with me and had trouble talking while running and didn't even complete it under 30:00.
What would you do differently?:

Lose that 10 pounds that has been "hanging around" for the last year.
Post race
Warm down:

Ran another 4 miles around downtown and then headed back to watch the elites. The men's elite had the winner in 3.59.3, qualifying him for another $10,000. That was fun to watch the crowd on that one. They all are so light on their feet and make it look easy.

Event comments:

We completed this race in hopes that we will gain entry into the 10 mile Twin Cities in October.

Course: slight uphill for 2 blocks, then slight downhill for the next .8 different course than last year. I liked not making the 2 90 degrees turns that were a part of last year's course. Not as fast as last year, but oh well.
