  • 00m
  • 328 yards
  • / 100 yards

Not a good swim.
What would you do differently?:

Start slower. I think I went out too fast.
Transition 1
  • 00m

Went OK. Overshot my rack by one row but it was close enough it was no big deal.
  • 30m 40s
  • 11.2 miles
  • 21.91 mile/hr

Bike went fairly well. I was not happy about the swim so tried to make up extra on the bike.
Transition 2
  • 01m 7s
  • 16m 29s
  • 2 miles

Left it out there. Got caught at the turnaraound. I tried to drop him but it wasn't happening today.
What would you do differently?:

Need to work more on my running.
Post race
Warm down:

Free beer from Fat Tire.
Also got another ART treatment right after teh finish.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Poor swim.

Event comments:

Jack and Adams puts on a great race.

I am dissapointed in my result today but compared to last year I should be pretty happy about it.

The mat did not pick up my swim time. It is lumped with T1
Course: I now know what it would be like to swim in a cesspool. There was a very strong sulfur smell coming of fof the water. Site in the water was limited to the end of my goggles. In other words, all I could see was a dark chocalte brown.

Going from Aquarena Springs to chocolate sulphur soup. Sounds like you've already covered the swimming extremes this year. Good job on improving year-to-year. IMO, that's what matters in this sport. You can't control who shows up at a race. Hope your ITBS stays away too.

Thanks for that!  I was wondering if it would really help.  Since they worked on my calf for about 5min before the race, I have not had one bit of pain since then.  Now to call them about the ITBS.

Bumble Bee - 2009-05-15 9:42 PM I've been battling IT Band Syndrome since the end of February.  I started going to Advanced Rehab 2 weeks ago.  They totally cleared up the pain in less than 2 weeks.  I would recommend them.
