I'm doing the 1/2 that day, in Kansas. Kind of wish I didn't have the conflict. Capitol View my first open water triathlon. Good race, kind of tough course. Have fun.

I was going to do that one, but went with Lake Mills instead. I'll come cheer though, maybe. With kids in tow.

I'm in for the Oly.  Switched from sprint.  I'm excited for this one since it's "in my backyard" and I didn't do it last year.

Capitol View looked like fun, but i wound up going with the South Shore Duathlon on the same day because it supports the MACC fund and i'm aiming to do benefit races this year.

Excellent, and great goal to have.  Many races have charities associated with them, but not all promote the orgs they give to the way some races do, or those specific benefit races.  That's one of the cool things about Tri-ing for Children's, they seem to focus on the charity aspect.  I'll end now so I don't hijack the thread.

As much as I hate to feed the USAT devil, I'm considering the sprint.

Do they still have that rule that you can deduct the $10 one-time license fee from an annual membership later in the year?

I think so, yes.
