Subject: RE: Getting cramps/stitch in "bricks"yeah....stitches are pretty normal in a brick workout. You'll find that the more bricks you do, the less stitches you'll get. It's a good idea to suffer a little while training. You don't want to end up like me: in my first olympic distance race I had to walk for miles because my side hurt so bad I couldn't even stand up straight. That was also the first time I'd ever started running right after getting off a bike (oddly enough all the other tri's I'd done up to that point had either been run, bike, swim, or bike, swim, run. Wierd huh? )
Now, after doing tons of bricks, I still feel a little shitty for the first 10 minutes of running, but I can run and I don't get bad stitches any more.
Have fun suffering.
